McKenna Sloan Georgia
Following her high school graduation in 2021, McKenna Sloan Georgia embarked on a new academic adventure at the University of Georgia. There, she chose to double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems, aligning her passions for data and finance. Her forward-thinking mindset is evident in her plans to pursue a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and prepare for the CPA exam, underscoring her ambition for a career in public accounting.
Outside the classroom and volleyball court, she engages in various hobbies that reflect her dynamic personality. She enthusiastically supports college volleyball, especially teams like Wisconsin and Nebraska. Her love for literature, with a particular fondness for mystery novels by Agatha Christie, and her enjoyment of stand-up comedy, especially Nate Bargatze's performances, showcase her diverse interests. Additionally, her interest in American history through podcasts and her love for outdoor activities like skiing and snowboarding highlight her adventurous spirit.
Her academic prowess and hard work were recognized by the University of Georgia, which awarded her the Classic Academic Scholarship. She was also accepted into the prestigious J.M. Tull School of Accounting and the Terry College of Business. Despite her rigorous academic schedule, she actively participates in Beta Alpha Psi, Sustainable Business Society, and Women in Technology, balancing her academic responsibilities with community engagement and personal growth.
